Bio:

When the legendary Larry Charles suggested I check out a hot new group called, the Off White Set, I said, "who?" He went on with the usual run of dialogue, almost suggesting that they were somehow the greatest thing in music since Elvis Presley. I must admit that this had set the bar pretty high, but it's the nature of the business and so I pressed on. After dropping the disk in the tray, a magical thing happened. I had suddenly realized that Mr. Charles really does know where it's at. Or more importantly, the Off White Set knows where's it's at. Jazz, Rock, Latin, Psychedelia, Avant-garde, etc. But it's less about genres and more about being able to go anywhere at any moment. As soon as the opening notes of "The 6 Of Us," entered through my speakers, I felt as though I had stumbled upon an old friend. I marveled at the high energy of the group, complimented by a sensitive side that shines through on the entire recording. Now that I have filled you in on the impact these guys have had on me, let me fill you in on some history of the group. The band was formed in August of 2010, and has been performing in New York ever since. The group has built a solid fan base through their weekly engagement at Horace And Sylvia's in Babylon, New York and continues to perform in the city and Long Island. It is with great enthusiasm that I urge anyone who is unfamiliar with this band to check them out and join me in the Off White Set fan club. This is Tom Fisher, (The San Francisco Beat) signing off...
