Bio:
A native of Washington, D.C., Molokai Jones began studying music at the age of six, taking piano lessons from his godmother. As a child, he was exposed to a diverse range of musical styles, from the traditional and outlaw country music his mother listened to, to the hard rock and southern rock sounds that permeated American Radio.
After heading to California at 18, Molokai played with numerous bands, and began writing his own songs. Soon, he had recorded 2 songs for the compilation album, Santa Barbara 1988, and eventually co-writing his first published country song, "Angels in Nashville".
Look for Molokai Jones' first solo album, Tales From the Bad Side of Town, due out May 2012.
